Preface
TrisGo is a two-player ternary Go,It has three types of stones: Black stones, White stones, and Tris stones . Tris stones are supporting stones, They are initially neutral and can change back and forth among neutral, black-attribute, and white-attribute. TrisGo is thus a Ternary Go equipped with the tri-attribute unity Tris stones. The Black protagonist and the White protagonist "compete for territory, contend for the Tris, to determine victory."
TrisGo is also alternatively called MengGo (M3Go). Here, the concept of "Meng" (萌) encompasses the Yin Yao (阴爻), the Ming Yao (明爻), and the Yang Yao (阳爻), carrying the meaning of ternary (tri-valued / tri-component / tri-yao), and stands in contrast to the concept of "Yi" (易).
TrisGo has a "two-level tri-component structure." First-level tri-component : black-attribute Black stones, white-attribute White stones, and neutral Tris stones. Second-level tri-component : neutral Tris stones, black-attribute Tris stones, and white-attribute Tris stones.
TrisGo is a puzzle board game that embodies the trichotomy thinking mode (methodology/philosophical thought).It belongs to the category of ternary board games characterized by "two-sided balanced confrontation, higher complexity (greater than Go on the same board size), and human playability."It resolves (sidesteps) the "balancing problem inherent in three-player ternary Go (three-player three-color Go)."
